I don't normally make mention of a new site or new page design for the print edition. If it's not self evident we shouldn't have done it!
But with any website change there is the likelihood of glitches and sometimes yesterday and for the next day or two regular visitors might have seen some weird things on these pages. That's due to the experimentation and learning curve of staff as we sit at the controls of a new tool and learn how to fly this thing.
It's an exciting time for us and early comments indicate readers are pleased as well. You will be able to contact the staff writer of any story and make comments on any story simply by clicking on the appropriate boxes at the end of each. We covet this interaction from readers so don't be shy. North Carolina Baptists are a community and in the hubbub and noise of any community we don't expect the Biblical Recorder to be the final voice. Consider it a forum where you can each have a voice.
In two weeks we will have a photo album online here where we want to publish photos of your mission trips and special events. Send us 8-12 photos with identification of the event and we'll put them up for the world to see. Your Kingdom efforts, whether next door or in another nation, deserve a wide audience.
Those of you so inclined can start your own blog, hosted here where you will have some built in audience and traffic.
With our new tool, we intend to update the site throughout the day as events occur. So come back often and stay in touch with the part of the Kingdom we call North Carolina Baptists. We'll smooth out in a few days. In the meantime, you'll see picture sizes change and the number of stories on the front alternate until we find the jet stream of high flying.
The archives from 11 years of online news have been transferred to this site and are searchable by key words. So we are still your best tool to look up information about NC Baptist life.
If you have any problems or issues or something is not working right or you can't find what you're looking for, write me at editor@biblicalrecorder.org. You will help us move ahead.
