Parents plead not guilty in daughter's death

OREGON CITY, Ore. - A couple who tried to heal their dying daughter with prayer walked hand in hand into a crowded courtroom Monday and pleaded not guilty to charges of manslaughter and criminal mistreatment.

First quarter CP trails budget, 2007gifts

Cooperative Program (CP) gifts from churches to ministries of the Baptist State Convention through the first quarter of 2008 are 7.88 percent, or $654,864 below the same period in 2007, and 14.9 percent below budget.
